So my family and I went to Penang for a wedding dinner last Saturday. To be very honest, the dinner wasn't my main purpose of going to Penang because I didn't know who were the ones getting married and I've never liked going to events like that.
Before the dinner, we went to shop at Queensbay. I wanted to buy some new clothes and I was dying to go on a book hunting! My to-buy list is growing bigger and bigger every day.
One of the reasons I don't like to live in Perlis is that we don't have a decent bookstore here, by decent I mean bookstores like Borders, MPH, Kinokuniya and Popular. It's a pain in the ass.
Novels I bought!
from bottom:
- Casual Vacancy by J.K.Rowling. Bought it because, well, it's written by my favorite author. I know this has nothing to do with the Harry Potter series but I should give it a try.
- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. I've always wanted to read The Lord of the Rings trilogy but never got the chance to do so. I've bought the LotR trilogy before spm and wanted to read The Hobbit before it.
- The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I've read the Chinese translated version before back in elementary and I've forgotten like most of the story so I bought the English version.
- Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Because my collection of Dan Brown novels will be incomplete without it.
- The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle. Because I'm currently addicted to Sherlock.
- 1984 by George Orwell. Because this book is in the list of book recommended by Goodreads.
Holiday is gonna be fun.
